I am 39 Years , married and hail from Red Hill, Kiambu District Kenya. I studied art under the tutorage of a Pakistani artist called Mohammed Rafiq who worked with my father as a mural and publicity artist in the mid 80’s.
My early artist influences were Norman Rockwell and later David Shepherd. In 1989, I joined Carnaudmetalbox as a Graphic artist, during this time I studied graphic design at the Kenya Polytechnic College.
My style is realist with a emphasis of light on my subjects. In my cultural paintings my style is impressionism.
